Halloween Date and Time

Halloween celebration will take place on Friday, October 31st during the hours of 6:00 pm. and 8:00 pm.

The Milford Police Department wishes to remind all parents and children to practice general "safety" during this period of time. Many times in all the excitement our children forget these rules. We wish you all a safe and happy celebration of this event. The following are but some of the "safety tips" that should be followed:

The NH Department of Safety announced Monday the launch of ReadyNH.gov and NH Alerts, two tools to help anyone in New Hampshire stay informed and prepare for before, during and after local emergencies and statewide disasters.

ReadyNH.gov, an updated website, and NH Alerts, a free emergency notification system that works with both mobile and landline phones, were developed by the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.

The Town of Milford has a vibrant business community, which significantly contributes to the character of Milford. In an attempt to recognize some of our outstanding local businesses the Milford Planning Board would like to invite you to take this opportunity to nominate one of our local businesses for a Distinguished Site of the Year Award. Winners will be honored at the December, 2014 Planning Board meeting and through local and social media.

Political Candidates: Where and How to Place Political Signs in Milford

Its election season (Primary Day is Tuesday, September 9th and General Election is Tuesday, November 4th) and as information to all candidates placing political signs, Milford’s Sign Regulations (contained in the Zoning Ordinance) govern this type of sign in accordance with the State of New Hampshire RSA 664:17 Placement and Removal of Political Advertising.

NH RSA 664:17 states:

1.    No political advertising shall be placed on or affixed to any public property;

Water Main Replacement

The Town of Milford Water Utilities Department will begin replacing the water main on Olive and Linden Streets the week of August 18 and continue approximately three weeks.  These streets will be closed to through traffic during construction.  Access for local residents will be maintained to the best of our abilities.
