Anyone who wishes to burn clean, ordinary combustibles such as leaves, brush or untreated lumber, or have a camp or cooking fire must have written permission from the landowner and a fire permit from the local forest fire warden or local fire department in the town or city where the fire will be kindled. You must be at least 18 years of age to obtain a written fire permit.

Chronology of the BROX Community Lands – A History of Commitment by the Town
Late 1990’s: The Brox Company approached the Town in the late 1990's to see if the Town was interested in purchasing 320 acres of undeveloped property. The BROX Company provided conceptual subdivision plans for approximately 90 new homes. The Town authorized a study committee to analyze the cost/benefit of Town ownership.
