With summertime comes increased recreational time for children on outdoor playground equipment. In both public and private parks, as well as personal properties, schools, and other institutions, playground slides have been recorded to reach temperatures exceeding 160 degrees, which is hot enough to cause first, second, and sometimes even threedegree burns, for users.

NH Dept. of Safety Launches Readynh.gov
The NH Department of Safety announced Monday the launch of ReadyNH.gov and NH Alerts, two tools to help anyone in New Hampshire stay informed and prepare for before, during and after local emergencies and statewide disasters.
ReadyNH.gov, an updated website, and NH Alerts, a free emergency notification system that works with both mobile and landline phones, were developed by the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
