Tax Collection

Welcome to the Milford Tax Collection Department. We are located at the top of the ramp near the Community Development Department in the Milford Town Hall. 

Tax Bills are due December 3, 2012. 

Taxes - The Tax year runs from April 1st to March 31st. Taxes are paid in 2 installments, due July 1st and December 1st. The bill due on July 1st is an estimated bill, based on ½ of the previous years total. Tax rates are set by the State in October. The bill due December 1st is the new tax rate, multiplied by the property assessment, less the bill that was due July 1st. 

The 2012 tax rate is $25.55 per thousand of assessed value.
