The civilian clerks are the people you first see when coming to the Police Department. Their primary responsibilities are answering and directing the phone calls that come in on the non-emergency numbers, taking care of the "Good Morning Milford" participants and greeting the public when they come into the station. The Police Department is physically open every day from 7:00 AM - 11:00 PM. At present, there are 2 full-time clerks and 5 part-time clerks.
My name is Sarah Whittemore and I started working full time for the Police Department in July of 2011. I have a strong background in hospitality and customer service. I worked at 3 hotels in Northern Vermont, working my way from the housekeeping department to General Manager. I graduated from Conval High School and attended Lyndon State College. I love working with computers and serving the public. I will be working the 7am-3pm shift for the front desk Monday through Friday. When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with my husband Rory and two sons. I also love spending time with friends, reading and baking.
Valerie started working full time for the police Department in July of 2009.
She covers the evening shift from 3:00pm till 11:00pm. When not working she enjoys spending time with her family & friends, baking, and going on day trips.
My name is Nick Duquette; I was born and raised for the first 17 years in Brooklyn , New York in the Italian section of Sheepshead Bay . One of my last jobs before moving on my own was at the World Trade Centers Twin Towers 1970-1971 as a mud boy,( cement mixer by hand).
I’m married to Lynne and have one son, Nicholas. I love to cook Italian food (my mother was Italian), play cards and shoot pool.
I’ve been working for the Milford Police Department since March of 1989. I currently work the front desk at the PD. in the administrative end. I enter police logs, warnings and other various paperwork.
I also handle the window and answer the phone. One of my favorite duties, is talking to the Good Morning Milford Program people ( Adult Senior Citizens who check in with us) that the Chief implemented quite a few years ago, I enjoy talking to them, and make it a point that they have a smile on their face when we hang up!
Laurie has been working part-time for the Police Department since September of 2005. When not working she enjoys hiking, gardening, reading, crosswords and bowling.
Joanie has been working part-time for the Police Department since December of 2005. She is a Massachusetts native who spent 26 years in the sales and marketing industry. She decided to change careers and became a CMA/scheduler and currently work full time in the medical field. When not working Joanie likes spending time walking / hiking with her Australian Cattle Dog and spending time with her family and friends.
Diane has been working part-time for the Police Department since March of 2005. Her hobbies include Tole Painting, Card Making and Calligraphy.
