The Juvenile Officer position was created in 2006 in an effort to bring the police department closer to the young people in our community. The Juvenile Officer investigates any crimes in Milford in which juveniles are possible offenders. He works closely with the District Court and the Juvenile Probation Officer to prosecute and or divert juveniles who come into the court system. The Juvenile Officer works closely with the School Resource Officer, the Patrol Division and the Detective Division in the investigation of these matters involving the youth of our community.
The Juvenile Officer also participates in many programs, and offers training courses for both youths and adults in various topics that affect the children of Milford, as an outreach to better serve the Town of Milford.
