Attorney Michael McCall is the Prosecutor for the Milford Police Department. The prosecutor represents the victims of criminal acts and prosecutes those arrested or summonsed for misdemeanor, violation and juvenile offenses by the Milford Police Department. All misdemeanor, violation and juvenile offenses are tried at the Milford District Court.
The prosecutor is responsible for arraignments, bail hearings, all aspects of case preparation and negotiations with defense attorneys; drafting of motions and pleadings; review and research legal issues, evidence and witness preparation, and trials. He also assists the County Attorney 's Office and the NH Attorney General's Office in preparing criminal cases for felony level offenses that occur within the Town. The prosecutor conducts felony Probable Cause hearings at Milford District Court and presents grand jury testimony in Hillsborough Superior Court.
The prosecutor regularly attends continuing legal education seminars in the areas of criminal law and evidence. He also participates in law enforcement training conducted by the New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Council as well as training provided by the Milford Police Department.
