The Board of Selectmen Candidate Forum is Wednesday, March 1, 2023, in the Board of Selectmen’s Meeting room at the Town Hall at 6:00 pm. This was rescheduled from Feb. 22nd because: Two candidates were unable to attend the forum on Feb. 22nd. There is a meeting at the Bales Building Gym about a warrant article for the renovation of Bales School for $2.7 million that many candidates and current Selectmen would like to attend.

The forum will be broadcasted live (and available on demand afterwards) on GTM channels 21, 22, and 1071-HD as well as streamed on the website and the Cablecast Screenweave app on AppleTV, Roku, and Amazon fire. You can also download the free app on your phone via the App Store.

The forum is for all candidates running for a Board of Selectman Position at the March 14, 2023 town election. This meeting will be televised.

Dave Alcox will be the moderator. Dave will have a list of questions that he will ask the candidates. Questions will be pertinent to the office of the Selectman. Candidates will not be allowed to provide their own questions. Each candidate will have an equal amount of time for opening and closing statements, approximately 5 minutes.

The candidates will answer the questions in a clear concise professional manner to the best of their knowledge. This is not a debate, it allows candidates for public office to express their views openly so that citizens watching can understand their positions and make informed voting choices.
