As many of you know, the Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce (SVCC) worked with the Milford Improvement Team (MIT) to coordinate the 2017 Pumpkin Festival. We were recently advised by SVCC Board of Directors that they would not organize the Pumpkin Festival going forward. The Board of Selectmen announced that decision at their January 22, 2018 regular meeting and presented a few options.
Since that meeting, several groups and individuals have stepped forward expressing interest in helping organize the 2018 Pumpkin Festival. The Selectmen are very appreciative of the support for this important town event.
We will plan a 2018 Pumpkin Festival Informational and Organizational Meeting to held at Town Hall sometime after Deliberative Session (February 3, 2018). Organizing a festival of this size is a very time consuming and detailed process that will require many individuals and organizations. We hope that organizations/groups that have helped in the past will continue.
