a. A Water System at Riverside Cemetery. A preliminary
meeting was held at the Riverside Cemetery on Friday, 12
May to examine the feasibility of such a project. A plan is
being developed, a Request for Proposals will be published by
Mr. Leo Lessard, Director of Public Works, according to the
appropriate regulations of the Town of Milford. The Cemetery
Trustees intend to have a new system installed in the fairly
near future.
b. Legal resolution of the Flower Fund as required under New
Hampshire law. The Cemetery Trustees feel compelled to
seek a legal resolution of the missing Flower Fund records to
achieve the rightful arrangements provided by the several
families. Town Counsel may need to be consulted. Else
consultation with the State Attorney General’s offices.
c. Care for Monuments and Markers. Such care is the
responsibility of the several families. However, given
Milford’s history and age, some sites no longer have living
relatives nearby. How shall the Cemetery Trustees handle
fallen, damaged, and eroded markers and sites?
d. Shall the Cemetery Trustees request community
volunteers and involvement to help foster involvement with
and beautification of the cemeteries within Milford? Is such
activity lawful? If desired by the Trustees, consult Ms. Karen
Blow, Human Resources Director, Town of Milford for the
proper volunteer forms and releases.
