7.16.010     Designation of Compact Portion of Town
Pursuant to NH RSA 644:13 II (b), the Town of Milford, New Hampshire, designates the following parks, playgrounds, or outdoor public gathering places as a compact part of the Town of Milford, New Hampshire:

A. The town owned property known as Kaley Park Map 31, Lot 32
B. The town owned property known as Keyes Field Map 25 Lot 133
C. The town owned property known as Shepard Park Map 31 Lot 33
D. The town owned property known as Adams Field Map 42 Lot 14
E. The town owned property known as MCAA Fields Map 8 Lot 11
F. The town owned property known as Bicentennial/Harriet Wilson Park Map 25 Lot 33
G. The town owned property known as Memorial Park Map 25 Lot 48
H. The town owned property known as Emerson Park Map 25 Lot 28
I.   The town owned property known as Osgood Pond/Hazel Adams Burns Park Map 42 Lot 8
J.  The town owned property known as Lions Park at Hartshorn Pond Map 2 Lot 29

7.16.020 Alcohol
No person(s) shall use, consume, or bring any alcoholic beverage in or on any of the foregoing areas listed in Section 7.16.010. (Ord. 5-19-97 § 2)

7.16.030 Softball or baseball
The playing of softball or baseball is strictly prohibited except at diamonds or other areas expressly set aside for this purpose. (Ord. 5-19-97 §3)

7.16.040 Trash or rubbish
No person(s) shall throw, leave, or discard any trash, rubbish, or garbage except in containers provided therefore. (Ord. 5-19-97 § 4)

7.16.050 Entertainment or exhibition
No person(s) shall give any entertainment or exhibition in any of the foregoing areas listed in Section 7.16.010 except under the direction or permission of the Milford board of selectmen. (Ord.5-19-97 § 5)

7.16.060 Town Hall, public buildings, and grounds public hours
Between the hours of nine p.m. and six a.m. the Town Hall building and grounds shall be closed, except under the direction or permission of the board of selectmen, or when it is necessary for access to or egress from the Town Hall. (Ord. 2011-008, 06-02-11; Ord. 5-19-97 § 6)

7.16.070 Commons, parks, playgrounds, pools and cemeteries public hours
Between the hours of ten p.m. and six a.m. all commons, parks, playgrounds, pools, and cemeteries shall be closed, except under the direction or permission of the board of selectmen, or when it is necessary for access to or egress from the public facility. (Ord. 5-19-97 § 7)

7.16.080 Vendoring activities
No person(s) or organization(s) shall conduct vendoring activities in any of the foregoing areas listed in Section 7.16.010 without the expressed, written authorization of the Milford board of selectmen or their duly authorized agent. (Ord. 2011-008, 06-02-11; Ord. 5-19-97 § 8)

7.16.090 Keyes Field vendoring
Keyes Field vendoring is limited solely to nonprofit organizations, associations, or corporations; charitable corporations or institutions; or other activities for charitable purposes in order to make a “gift” which comes within the definition of the term “charity;” or any other not-for-profit activity which the board of selectmen, in its sole discretion, views as falling within this category. For special town functions or events as identified by the board of selectmen or their agent, vendors not qualified in the previously mentioned categories would seek authorization in accordance with Section 7.16.080. 7.16.100 Animals [Repealed]

7.16.110 Osgood Pond [Repealed] (Ord. 2011-008, 06-02-11; Ord.5-19-97 § 11)

7.16.115 Railroad Pond
All persons shall be prohibited from engaging in “Angling” as defined in NH RSA 207:1 for the purpose of taking any “fish” as defined in NH RSA 207:1 VI, on a certain body of water located in said Town of Milford known as “Railroad Pond”, from town owned property known as Bicentennial Park (Map 25, Lot 33) or War Memorial Park (Map 25, Lot 48) for a period of one (1) week prior to the annual Michael McBriarty Fishing Derby which is co-sponsored by the Milford Police Department each year, until the Derby is finished. Whoever shall violate this ordinance shall be guilty of a violation and subject to a fine as further described in Milford Municipal Code Appendix B – Fines. (Ord. 2011­008, 06-02-11; Ord. 05-08-09)

7.16.120 Bicentennial Pathway and Emerson Park
It is unlawful to ride a bicycle, roller skate, roller blade, skateboard, or perform any other
activity of a similar nature, on or about Emerson Park or the Bicentennial Pathway that
is located on the Milford Common.

7.16.150 Discharge of Firearms
In accordance with RSA 644:13 it shall be unlawful for any person to fire or discharge any cannon, gun, pistol, or other firearm within the compact part of a town or city, except by written permission of the chief of police or governing body. Whoever shall
violate this ordinance shall be guilty of a violation and subject to a fine as further described in Milford Municipal Code Appendix B – Fines. (Ord. 2011-008, 06-02-11)
