Milford Community Power
Introduction:
Milford Community Power is our town’s electricity supply program. Approved by voters in March 2023, the Program aims to help our community members manage electricity costs, increase renewable energy use, and reduce carbon pollution. Milford Community Power program will be launching March 2024. The program provides stable rates for 20 months, from March 2024 to November 2025, and three options with more renewable energy for electricity customers up to 100%. There is no cost to the municipality for running the program, no individual customer contracts, and customers can leave, change products or rejoin the program with no fees or penalties effective on their next meter read date. Under the Program residents who do are not already contracted with an alternative energy supplier would be automatically enrolled in the Community Power program unless they choose to opt out.
Events:
January 31, 2024: Public Meeting, Town Hall, Auditorium, 3rd Floor, 6:00 pm with a short presentation and public Q&A services provider Standard Power.
